About Medical University

The Angeles University Foundation (Filipino: Pundasyon Pamantasan ng Angeles) also referred to by its acronym AUF, is a private Roman Catholic non-stock, non-profit educational institution run by lay persons in Angeles City. It was established on May 25, 1962, by Agustin P. Angeles, Barbara Yap-Angeles and family. The university was granted autonomous status and certified with the Institutional Quality Assurance Monitoring and Evaluation (IQuAME) by the Commission on Higher Education. It is an ISO-certified university.

Three of its programs are recognized as Centers of Development History Angeles University Foundation was established on May 25, 1962, by the prominent Angeles family of Angeles, Pampanga in the Philippines. It began as the Angeles Institute of Technology (AIT) but after 9 years of operation, the institution was granted University status on April 16, 1971, by the Department of Education, Culture and Sports. On December 4, 1975, the university was converted into a non-stock, non-profit educational foundation - a decision of the founding family motivated by the aim of providing education to the Central Luzon region.

Concomitant with this decision, the Angeles couple and their children, namely, Rosario, Lutgarda, Emmanuel, Antonio, Jesusa, Josefina and Lourdes executed a Deed of Donation of their shareholdings in favor of the foundation as starting fund which resulted to the relinquishment of their ownership and proprietary rights.

AUF was incorporated under Republic Act No. 6055, otherwise known as the Foundation Law, and is a tax-exempt institution approved by the Philippine government. On February 14, 1978, AUF was converted into a Catholic university making it the first in Central Luzon. On February 20, 1990, the AUF Medical Center was inaugurated which would serve as the teaching, training and research hospital of the university.

Students life at Angeles University Foundation

The campus is located along MacArthur Highway in Salapungan, Angeles City. It is relatively small compared to the campuses of other major universities in the Philippines. The campus is urban in setting, and it is located within the business area of the city. The Elementary and High School departments of the university however, are located in Marisol Village about 3 kilometers away from the main campus.

With the major and professional (minor) subjects aside, all undergraduate students are required to take 12 units of Theology classes. The students are also required to attend four physical education classes, and a choice from between ROTC and civil service training. The university is home to 8 undergraduate colleges, with the College of Arts and Sciences as the oldest. There is also a School of Medicine and School of Law apart from the Graduate School. The Commission on Higher Education has recognized three of its programs as Centers of Development, namely in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering and Teacher Education.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission at Angeles University Foundation

Candidates must have passed higher secondary examination with Science subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Candidates must have an aggregate of 50% in PCB or more in your 12th results.
Students must be 17 years or more for medical education in this university.
All Indian students going to study MBBS abroad have to qualify NEET exams.

Admission Process at Angeles University Foundation

Step 1: Complete the online application provided by the University. or Fill out the course registration form from our website then we will be doing all the below steps .
Step 2: Print out the application. Send the signed form along with the required documents listed below to the university.
Step 3: Scan the documents and email them to the admissions office with a subject line of 'Application for Admission' in the body of the email.
Step 4: Documents can be submitted only until the application deadline. Be sure to submit all documents before the final submission date.
Step 5: After verification of the student's documents by Medical University, the University will send the student the acceptance or rejection letter accordingly.
Step 6: Payment of initial fees should be done once the candidate is accepted. Upon receiving the acknowledgment letter, the student will receive their fee.
Step 7: Students have to do the following documentation translation, apostle attestation of the basic documents of education.
Step 7: If the applicant has been accepted, they must immediately apply for a student visa . University will mail students their Invitation letters.

Hostel And Mess Facilities available at Angeles University Foundation

University has a very good hostel campus with free Wifi access. Accommodations for students are available as singles, doubles and triples. Additionally, there are separate hostels for women and men. All hostels are furnished with beds, chairs, tables, and other necessary items. Facilities within the campus include a supermarket, a clinic, a pharmacy, etc. The hostel is monitored by CCTV 24 hours a day. For Indian students on campus, Mess is also available. All students are subject to strict hostel rules. The hostel also serves Indian food.
