About Medical University
Founded in 1947, with former name of Kanto Medical School, Dalian Medical University was incorporated into Dalian University in 1949 and named Medical School of Dalian University. It was separated from Dalian University in 1950 and named Dalian Medical School. In 1969, it was immigrated to Zunyi, Guizhou Province and called Zunyi Medical School. While Dalian Medical School was reestablished in the original address in 1978 and renamed as Dalian Medical University in 1994.
Now it has been a medical university with main feature of medicine education and comprehensive development of several subjects including science, engineering, management, art, law and philosophy, etc. Main campus of the school has more than 1,300 permanent teaching and administrative staff. It has 1 national “Thousand Talents Plan” candidate, 4 distinguished professors of “Cheung Kong Scholars Program” of the Ministry of Education; 4 holders of “National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars”, 1 leading pioneer of national “Ten Thousand Talent Program”, 5 candidates of New Century National Talent Project, 1 candidate of national “Youth Thousand Talent Project”, 2 holders of “National Science Fund for Excellent Young Scholars”, 2 national middle-aged and young experts with outstanding contributions, 5 middle-aged and young experts with outstanding contributions of Ministry of Health, 3 candidates of “New Century Excellent Talents Supporting Plan” of Ministry of Education, 75 experts enjoying the State Council special allowance; 17 “Climbing Scholars” of Liaoning institutes of higher education, and 28 Distinguished Professors of Liaoning Province.
Teaching and administrative staff and medical personnel are totally more than 8,600 in the university, among which more than 800 are of senior professional title and almost 900 are of vice senior professional title, Doctoral tutor of more than 160 people,postgraduate and doctoral supervisors are more than 1,300. To create a larger and more effective campus, Dalian Medical University was moved to Lushun District, 25 km away from old campus.
The foundation laying ceremony was held on November 8, 2005, and whole university was moved to new campus completely in August 2007. The total area of the new campus is 1,510,000 square meter including 520,000 construction area. Faculty Apartment Building area was located 3 km away north.

Dalian Medical University (DMU) International Education College (IEC) was founded in 1985 on the basis of a language cultivation and a short-term advanced studies program. In 2004, the university established MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery) in the English medium and initiated to recruit educated international students; this launched an evolutionary prospect in Dalian Medical University's system expansion to international education. In June 2007, DMU International Education College became more driven to its purposes when it was evaluated by the National Education Board of China and became one of the thirty schools that excels in teaching international students in the English medium. In 2009, the university was led into a brand-new stage when it was approved by the national education board to become a Chinese government scholarship development school to international students, as well as being assessed to be an international education advanced unit in Liaoning Province. In 2011, China approved DMU to qualify in enrolling self-assessed government scholarship students, China-Russia humanity scholarship students, and China-America humanity scholarship students. In 2012, DMU was graded by Liaoning Education Department to be one of the five international education model facilities in Liaoning. In 2013, DMU was assessed to be the first batch of international education model university nationwide. In 2014, DMU was awarded the title "International Students Education Advanced Organization" in China.

Hostel And Mess Facilities available at Dalian Medical University China
University has a very good hostel campus with free Wifi access. Accommodations for students are available as singles, doubles and triples. Additionally, there are separate hostels for women and men. All hostels are furnished with beds, chairs, tables, and other necessary items. Facilities within the campus include a supermarket, a clinic, a pharmacy, etc. The hostel is monitored by CCTV 24 hours a day. For Indian students on campus, Mess is also available. All students are subject to strict hostel rules. The hostel also serves Indian food.

One of the most heavily developed industrial areas of China, Dalian municipal area today consists of Dalian proper and the smaller Lüshunkou (formerly Lüshun city, known in Western and Russian historic references as Port Arthur), about forty nautical miles (74 kilometres; 46 miles) farther along the Liaodong Peninsula. Historical references note that the Russian designed city of Dalniy (Alt. Dalney), on the south side of Dalian Bay was 40 kilometres (25 miles) from Port Arthur/Lüshun (known today as Lüshunkou or literally, Lüshun Port).
Dalian has a monsoon-influenced humid continental climate (Köppen Dwa), characterised by warm wet summers due to the East Asian monsoon, and cold, windy, dry winters that reflect the influence of the vast Siberian anticyclone. Except for winter, the city experiences a one-month seasonal lag due to its position on the Liaodong Peninsula.
